Would you like to stay home and raise your children instead of sending them off to strangers at daycare? Do you want to have a say in your children’s formative years and character development? Would you like for your children to reflect your values instead of the values of the teacher and other children in day care? Are you living paycheck to paycheck with no chance of getting ahead? Are you ready for a change? Your answer may be no fee work at home jobs.
My Story
I was able to stay at home and raise my children. I’m very blessed in that way. I was able to help in their classrooms and go on field trips and outings. I was available to participate in their school activities, help with homework (with patience and caring), drive them to their sports, scouts and church programs and I could instill my values and morals in them. I decided to go back to work when my son turned 12. When I went back to work I felt oddly disconnected from my kids, their interests and activities, their concerns and problems and especially their dreams and desires for the future. And after being gone from home 11 hours a day, 5 days a week I didn’t have the time and energy to catch up. And there was still the matter of all the laundry, cooking, cleaning and shopping. I didn’t even have enough energy left for the weekend. Even with everyone pitching in to help, I didn’t have enough energy for my kids let alone for my own sanity and rest. I knew there had to be a better way! That’s when I started looking for a way to generate money from home.
Home-Based Job or Business
A home based job and a home based business are different. Examples of work at home jobs are data entry, surveys, mystery shopping, virtual assistant/secretary, selling products on eBay, creating websites, writing e-books, etc. All of which are good, but do you know how to do any of them? It’s great if you know how to do those things. Go for it! But if you don’t know where to begin you may be frustrated even before you get started. That’s why I looked into a home-based business. These are real work at home jobs. Examples of home-based businesses are MLM companies, direct sales (your product or someone else’s), or a service (like cake decorating or clothing alterations). But I got so tired of combing the streets for new clients or trying to convince people to come to a meeting to get them to sign up under me and trying to get them to bring new people to a meeting to sign up. That’s when I thought that the internet may be a good marketing tool for me.
Internet-Based Business
Do you want to work from home stuffing envelopes? No? An internet business in promoted on the internet. On the internet your selling territory is the world with over 6 billion people to sell to. Right now about 134 million people are born ever year. With a death rate of 57 million per year, that is still about 77 million people each year. If the consumer age ranges from 18 to 80, that gives you 4,774,000,000 people to market to each year. If you want to concentrate on the United States, then you have 305,529,237 people to market to. Just the shear numbers alone are on your side. You’ll run out of time before you run out of people.
1. Pyramid Schemes – These have mostly been eliminated as a business model. They are illegal. But the MLM business model may still build on levels. (That’s why they call it Multi-Level-Marketing.) So be sure that you closely examine how your income will be generated. The newest business model for MLM’s are matrixes, but still the people on the top will make most of the money. Do your due diligence, research the numbers and the compensation plan. Recently I was shown an MLM company where the compensation plan was so complicated that it would have taken a rocket scientist to understand it. I was told that the company had my best interest at heart and to just trust them. I’m sure they had someones best interest in mind, but I’m not sure that it was mine. If you can’t understand it, then steer clear.
2. Products and Services – If your business is promoting products, it is highly suggested that you have more than one product to offer. While some companies offer a number of products, they generally will be all within the same niche. For example you may have a dog company that sells fifty different products. All of the products are for dogs. Look for a program that offers a number of different products so that you can market to different niches and reach different groups of people.
3. Mentoring and Coaching – Your most important decision in your home-based or internet-based business is a coach or mentor who can guide you to your success. You can have the very best products, services, or programs money can buy. But if you don’t have the support and guidance you need to learn to become an internet marketing pro all your money, time and hard work put into your business will be wasted and you will be frustrated and discouraged and no better off then when you started.
