The Yamaha RX-V1065 receiver is one of Yamaha’s latest releases in 2009 and is chock-a-block full of capabilities. On second glimpse, it gives the impression of being the heir of the RX-V863, featuring a comparable feature set and targetting the same group of consumers. Nevertheless, with the latest receiver, you will be looking at 5 HDMI ports, 1080p upscaling and upconversion, a brand new GUI and a whole lot more. Then again, it is short of component video upconversion. That’s why, if you already own a progressive HD display, then likely the Yamaha RX-V1065 is the supreme receiver for you!
